OUR PURPOSE

More than ever, new technologies tested in motor sport bring vital value to the road car market, with targeted development programmes shaping and transforming the mobility of the future. As mobility relevance gains increased momentum in racing innovation, and the resultant technology transfer, its scale implementation represents an opportunity to address environmental, mobility and societal challenges. 

WRC Innovation Forums take place in the framework of the FIA World Rally Championship as a unique platform to advance race-developed and proven innovations for their potential application in everyday motoring, global transport, and interrelated industries.  

Through disruptive technologies, such as plug-in hybrids competing under the most demanding conditions, and hundred percent fossil-free fuels, WRC and its innovation-driven partners are in a unique position to provide a platform for accelerating the transition towards a sustainable future; a future enlightened by innovation clustered in motor sport, and its pursuit of well-being for all through cleaner, safer, and more connected mobility. 

 

OUR VOICE

The forums bring together key motor sport and mobility stakeholders, leaders from international organisations, government representatives, policy makers, the public and private sectors, academia, and the wider WRC community. This platform represents the voice of the rallying ecosystem in debating on the challenges, lessons learned, and opportunities of motor sport in contributing to the global sustainability, safety, and connectivity agendas. Accordingly, WRC Rally Innovation Forums address one or more of WRC’s sustainability focus areas and one or more of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
