Wednesday Night Lights (Refresh)
What happens when the girls take over the football field and the guys take over the pom-poms? We’ll find out April 16 at 6:00 p.m. on the Sevier Heights front lawn for Wednesday Night Lights.
Girls face off in a powderpuff flag football game and the fellas compete in a cheer off - all in one night. Get your squad/team together and register before 6:30 p.m. on April 16. (Hint: You have a better chance at winning a prize if you register early. Thank us later.)
Get your face paint and high kicks ready because the game is officially on.
The Holy Spirit isn’t simply a concept - it’s a feeling, a stirring that can’t be ignored. It’s that breath of fresh air we need when we feel like we have nothing left to give. Join us as we make room for the Holy Spirit during “Breath.”
Disciple Now 2014
Do you know what’s coming?
You’re not even trying to guess. You just scrolled down, didn’t you?
We’ll tell you anyway – Disciple Now is ALMOST here!
You might have some questions. You can’t just throw yourself into a weekend of ridiculous amounts of fun all willy-nilly like. You need details. Well, we’ve got them for you.
WHAT IS DISCIPLE NOW?
Disciple Now, or D-Now as anyone who’s hip and with it likes to call it, is a weekend targeted at experiencing Jesus. Students are divided into groups of 6-8 (same gender/same age), paired with a college leader and placed into the home of a Sevier Heights member.
People say you can’t know where you’re going to end up. We beg to differ. Make sense of where you’ve been and where you’re going - all in one weekend.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
It’s easy! Just visit sevierheights.smartevents.com to register and pay online. You can also pick up a registration form in the Apex or Epicenter and put it in the drop boxes, along with a $35 check or cash, by the kitchens when you’re done. Don’t forget to fill out the Medical Release Form, it must be included, too. And for the low, low price of $1 – your friends can get in on the action! What a bargain.
WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
Make sure to bring the following with you when you come to church Friday evening:
Bible, pen and notebook
Sleeping bag and pillow
D-Now t-shirt (if you’ve already received it) and jeans for Sunday morning
$10 spending money for Saturday lunch at church
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING AT D-NOW?
You’ll get a chance to hear God’s Word, worship to some new songs, talk through life with others in the same spot as you and make some memories that’ll be worth writing in a yearbook about. Plus, there’s food galore, games you won’t expect and videos that’ll hopefully get a few chuckles out of you. We can’t tell you everything because we’ve got some tricks up our sleeves.
The best weekend of the year kicks off Thursday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m. and picks back up February 28 at 6:00 p.m. then rolls through March 2 at noon. Disciple Now is always something worth talking about - don’t miss out on the conversation.
We like being liked - it’s that simple. We want to be noticed, appreciated…valued. But what happens when those ‘wants’ go from simple desires to driving forces?
If it’s always all about me - there’s no room for Him. Hear more during ‘Selfies’, starting January 22.
